After an epic 4 hour round trip to Essex yesterday (should have only been 90 minutes maximum) due to the joys of the Dartford Crossing, I wasn't really feeling motivated to get up early for my normal Sunday morning gym visit. My alarm was re-set once and I hit the snooze button three times! I finally did surrender, made my breakfast smoothie and off I went.

Why am I telling you this?

Hopefully you will realise I am just like you, I don't bounce out of bed EVERY day ready for exercise, but I know to get the results that I want and to achieve a healthy lifestyle this isn't going to get done by laying in bed THINKING about exercise!!

Unfortunately I am carrying a couple of injuries at the moment so I am limited in what I can do, but I have set myself a daily achievable goal of just 15 minutes of cardio-vascular activity and 5 minutes of strength; there are very few days now that this doesn't happen!

Be realistic and set yourself goals that you know you can fit into your daily routine, if you achieve this imagine how you would feel, picture that feeling and hold it close. Have a daily mantra, it could be any of the following:
