Busy, busy, busy….

Oh my goodness, it has been such a busy week, which of course I am not complaining about but it does mean I need to be at the top of my game when it comes to self-care! Micro moments of nourishment as Suzy Reading calls them in her book, The Self Care Revolution. Thanks to...

Happy Belated Halloween

I can’t say that I am a huge fan of Halloween, as it goes against everything that I believe. My children rarely have sweets, yet one evening a year we go out “begging” for them, it sits really uncomfortably with me, but I did give in to peer pressure (from my children) and off we...

Post Holiday Reflection

When you return from a holiday, it's great to have the memories, but don't just daydream about when your next trip away will be. Be present in your daily life and enjoy the new perspective some time away can bring.

Juice Re-boot!

So, I've been feeling a bit "bleurgh" recently, lacking in energy and vitality.

Back into the old routine!

We’ve had a fabulous summer with a great holiday, trips out and lots of laughs (shortly after this photo was taken, I was soaked by a huge wave and this proved to be very entertaining for lots of people – most I didn’t even know). I can’t deny though it is good to get back...

How to eat well and be healthy on holiday.

I recently returned from a lovely camping holiday in Dorset and was amazed when I jumped on the scales a week later to learn I was 3.5lbs lighter, actually the onset of a sickness bug may have helped to push the dial down a bit further. I don’t think you should put any pressure on...

Getting back on the right track.

Time to get this mind believing again! Have hit a bit of a plateau recently and my weight has been going up (only very slightly) rather than down. School holidays, although only a week in have made a difference as I’m missing my daily walks to and from school, not that I cover a great...

It’s the taking part that counts…

I was lucky enough to attend my daughter’s sports day last week, as usual it was a bitter-sweet event. Obviously my chosen career as a Personal Trainer leads you to believe that I love sport, which I do, and have fond memories of my sports days as it was very definitely my chance to shine...

Keep cool!

I spent a long, hot day in London last Wednesday, probably didn’t drink enough water and by the time I got home which was well after 11pm I was well and truly shattered. On the journey home I was feeling a bit sorry for myself and like most of us was thinking about food to...

Footsteps….

So, where will your footsteps be leading you this week? I missed out on my morning run yesterday as I wasn’t feeling 100%, I thought it best to leave it today as well to ensure I am fully fit and recovered for the week ahead. There is a phrase that I am always saying and that...

Feeling Juicy?

Tonight sees Week 2 of my current FooFooFunClub course and we will be sampling juices. The course primarily covers exercises to strengthen the core and pelvic floor but also looks at other elements of our lifestyle than can impact on this both positively and negatively.

And the winner is……

Last night I was lucky enough to attend the first Kent Health & Beauty Awards  having been nominated by Julie Clark of Spring Nutrition in the Personal/Fitness Trainer of the Year category.
