Who is in your team?

Yesterday I attended the joint funeral of Ted and Elizabeth Hawkins, a loving couple who died within days of each other.

Ted was an original member of Ashford Athletics Club, which I attended between the years 1987 – 2000. This was a hugely significant period of my life, surrounded by an amazing team. Confidence was gained and lessons learned, it was so much more than being an “ok-ish” sprinter. These lessons have stayed with me to this day.

I saw so many people there yesterday who I haven’t seen for years, but the bonds are strong and cannot be broken.

A special time and a special team.
